Residents of any age and community groups within the area can apply for a grant of up to £1000 from the Community Chest as long as it meets one of the four Boston Big Local priorities: Improving health and wellbeing, creating a more attractive environment, building community spirit and encouraging enterprise.

The Community Chest is being run until March 2017, with this round’s deadline being Thursday, June 30 at 6pm, and will be decided by a panel of residents within the local area.

Boston Big Local is a resident-led 10-year programme.

Jody Raggo, Boston Big Local resident and facilitator of the Community Chest said: “The Community Chest has recently awarded funds to a diverse range of groups from SMYLLE Boston, a blood cancer support group, for advertisement and room hire, to supporting the Memory Lane Arts for Dementia Group in developing a mosaic entitled ‘Happy memories pieced together’, now on display on the western approach to the town footbridge.

“We want to continue to support a wide range of projects, ideas and groups that can have a positive impact on the Big Local area and I encourage groups and residents to request an application form and apply. If you have an innovative idea or project or would like some extra support, we would love to hear from you.”

Request an application form from Jody on 07903 857 263 or via email at [email protected].
