You can now buy a limited edition Creme Egg-inspired cheesecake
Synonymous with Easter is one of the UK’s most beloved treats - the Creme Egg. Now fans will be able to indulge in the famous fondant egg in more than one way, with this new product from Iceland.

The cheesecake is a baked vanilla cheesecake on a digestive biscuit base, which has been topped with chocolate sauce and decorated with orange and yellow white chocolate sauce, decorated with dark chocolate strands.
Labelled as a luxury Belgian chocolate easter egg cheesecake, Iceland describes the creation as “combining two iconic sweets - the humble vanilla cheesecake and the famous fondant filled chocolate egg”.
The cheesecake is suitable for vegetarians, but not for vegans due to the presence of milk and eggs in the recipe.
How to eat it
The cheesecake comes frozen, so you’ll need to plan a little bit ahead before tucking into the decadent dessert. Before you’re ready to eat the dessert, you’ll need to keep it frozen at -18C or colder.

Hide AdThe Iceland website says that you’ll need to remove all the packaging from the cheesecake and leave it on a plate to defrost at room temperature for an hour and 40 minutes.
Once it’s been defrosted, should you keep it refrigerated and then eat it within the next 24 hours.
How much does it cost?
The cheesecake comes in at just £3 each for the 390g dessert.
The box says that the cheesecake is enough to serve six and a review for it on the Iceland website described it as “heavenly”.

Iceland has teased that fans of a “certain fondant egg” should keep an eye on Iceland’s freezers in the coming weeks for another spectacular dessert from the frozen food retailer.
As it stands, Iceland already does a few other Creme Egg treats than fans can sample for themselves, like Cadbury Creme Egg ice cream and Creme Egg twisted bars.
