Jo Malone is now at Boots - I tried the new scent earning top reviews

Jo Malone London has arrived at Boots for the first time, bringing its best-loved fragrances and brand-new Sea Salt & Bergamot Cologne to shoppers nationwide.
Fragrance fans are heaping four and five-star reviews on a brand-new Jo Malone London scent, as a landmark partnership brings the luxury fragrance house to Boots shoppers for the first time.
Sea Salt & Bergamot Cologne launched at the beginning of the month and is already averaging 4.8 out of five from early reviewers on the brand’s own website and on Boots online, with its fresh scent and staying power earning praise.
Sea Salt & Bergamot comes in three sizes at Boots, priced at £24 for 10ml, £58 for 30ml and £125 for 100ml. The smallest is a handy way to try the new scent without committing to a full-size bottle. But there’s an extra incentive for those opting for the larger bottle, too. Shoppers buying a 100ml Sea Salt & Bergamot or Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne at Boots can currently receive a complimentary 9ml Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne worth £20 complete with a quirky limited-edition sea monster holder that doubles as a keyring (while stocks last).
Jo Malone London is now available online at Boots and in 39 stores nationwide, featuring a curated edit that brings together some of the fragrance house's best-known scents. Lime Basil & Mandarin and English Pear & Freesia are among the familiar favourites, joined by the new Sea Salt & Bergamot.
And it seems Boots shoppers were ready for it. Thousands searched Boots.com for Jo Malone London last year, despite the retailer not stocking the brand at the time.

What I love about the new Jo Malone Sea Salt & Bergamot Cologne
Sea Salt & Bergamot is the completely new addition and from the first spray I knew it was my kind of fragrance.
It’s definitely fresh and citrusy but also sophisticated. Expect soft and woody notes of driftwood at the base, with top notes of bergamot.
There are advantages to buying it through Boots, too. As well as Click & Collect and Next Day Delivery, customers can collect Advantage Card points on Jo Malone London purchases.
It's part of a much bigger push by Boots into premium beauty. Jo Malone London follows the arrival of P.Louise in May and Charlotte Tilbury in July, and the retailer now has 1,400 Boots Beauty Specialists who receive specialist training from the brands it stocks.
What I don't like about the new Jo Malone Sea Salt & Bergamot Cologne
The obvious drawback is the price. Jo Malone London sits firmly in luxury-fragrance territory, so this isn't going to be an impulse purchase for everyone. There’s little else I could class as a negative, though. It’s a fragrance I’ll happily wear over the next few months. Of course, scent is incredibly personal, and its fresh, coastal character may not appeal as much to those who prefer richer, warmer or more musky fragrances.
My verdict
I’ve long been a fan of fragrances created by Jo Malone CBE, with Jo Loves A Fragrance Pomelo a long-time favourite. It’s easy to recommend the new fragrance and, for me, Sea Salt & Bergamot is another scent that’s sure to make waves. I know so many people who are ardent Jo Malone London and I strongly suspect this one will become a firm favourite for many. One Boots online customer said: “I'm a big fan of the new Sea Salt & Bergamot scent - I usually love wearing Wood Sage & Sea Salt over summer, but this is a more citrus & fresh version. It will definitely become one of my new everyday fragrances!”
