180 helps Grooby to darts win

Pete Grooby picked off a 180 on his way to to beating Debra Royal 4-3 in the BSC Premiership of the Friday Night Darts League.

Kev Lenton and Jamie Barnes had a good match, Kev taking it 4-2.

Phil Odlin hit a 180 in his big 4-1 win over Mark Simpson.

Both Jamie Barnes and Pete Grooby returned to battle each other for seven legs, Jamie coming out on top 4-3 and also hitting a 106 finish.

Darren Aucote took on Chris Royal in a good game, Darren taking it 4-2.

In the PIzza Perfection Championship, Rowena Watson took on Anthony Bennett in the only match of the week.

Anthony hit a 180 but it was Rowena who picked off the doubles to win the match 3-1.

The All Sports Trophies and Engraving Division Two saw Aaron Upsall take a 3-0 win against Jake Lammyman.

Mark Baily beat Emma Grant 3-0 and Luke Cammack took a good 3-1 win over Ali Baker.

In the C&C TV Division Three, Brian Wilkinson earned a 2-1 win over Suzy Watson.

Jodie Royal got another good win by beating Muriel Almond 2-1 and Liz Chapman took a good win, beating Bob Birtwistle 3-0.

Brian Wilkinson made it a double delight night with a 3-0 win over Jason Lammyman and Callum Day edged nearer to the title with a good 3-0 win over Suzy Watson.

Liz Chapman rounded off a good night with a 2-1 win against Bob Birwistle 2-1.

The Abigail Jackson Memorial Darts Competiton was played at Boston Snooker Centre last weekend.

There was a good turnout for the event, which saw Jason Marriott beat Graham Sharp in the final.
