The green will shortly be closed in readiness for extensive work to be carried out by a specialist sports turf contractor on the playing area, to cure the dry patches which have returned to the green in the later part of the season.

Club members who have a Lincolnshire Co-op dividend card are also reminded that if they live in Beckingham or Gainsborough they need to telephone member accounts on 01522 781135 to link their card number to Beckingham Bowls Club.

That way, the club can gain maximum benefit from their three months as Community Champions based on purchases using their card in any Lincolnshire Co-op store. This does not affect the card holder’s personal dividend.
