Astroturf opening fun

Horncastle's all-weather pitch will be officially opened with a weekend of celebrations.

The Horncastle Playingfields (Management) Committee and Horncastle Hockey Club are holding the two-day event following the recent refurbishment.

The weekend will include a junior training camp on Saturday followed by a full array of hockey on show throughout Sunday.

Sunday’s action will see Horncastle Ladies v Alford Ladies (11am), England Grand Masters training (12.30pm), official opening ceremony (1.45pm), Horncastle 1st XI v England Grand Masters (2pm), Horncastle 2nd XI vs Alford (3.30pm).
