For a change the weather was good for running but the ground still sodden, creating the potential for slippery conditions.

In the boys’ under-13 race over 3km, Harry Denton led the Striders home in 15min 2sec, followed by Josh Doran in 15.45 and Luke Saunders 22.33. The boys’ under-15 over 4.5km had Tommy Saunders completing the course in 27.06 and, over the longer distance of 6km, Jordan Williams ran a great time of 27.07 in the under-17 men’s event.

This weekend saw lone Sleaford Strider Jim Millar travel to Milton Keynes to take part in the Milton Keynes half marathon as part of the Festival of Running. This was his longest race for a while and he completed the 13.1-mile distance in 2.03.17.
