ATHLETICS: Sleaford Town Runners trio tackle London Marathon

Three members of Sleaford Town Runners ran the London Marathon along with 40,000 others on Sunday.

Emily Foran led them home in 3hr 3min 10sec, followed by Audrey Hayden Russell 4.38.40 and finally Ingrid Williams 6.11.46.

Sarah Whatton and Shaun Louth travelled to Stratford for the Shakespeare Marathon.

It was a scenic two-lap course which was quite a fast route for the quicker runners.

Despite this being her third marathon in as many weeks, Sarah raced home with a new personal best of 4.27.29, taking 10 minutes off her previous time.

Shaun, also running his third marathon in three weekends, finished 5.57.26, just sneaking in before the six-hour cut off.
