ATHLETICS: Talbot is representing England

A young Metheringham athlete with cerebral palsy is representing England in Denmark this week.

Twelve-year-old Thomas Talbot is a national record holder for RaceRunning – an athletics discipline for athletes with cerebral palsy who use a running bike with no pedals.

This week, Thomas is representing England at the CPISRA International Racerunning Camp and European Championships, taking place in Denmark between July 10 and 17.

Thomas trains at Lincoln Wellington Athletics Club on a Tuesday night and he is very excited and proud to be representing his country for the first time.

He has only been competing for just over a year and has broken age group records for 100m, 200m and 400m.
