Awards for Ju-Jitsu members

The best attendance awards went to Hamish Lingard, Oliver Newman, Sarah Bradbrook, Mason Scarlett, Connor Palmer, Aston Revill, Jacob Coxford-Hawkins and Conner Annbal.

Isaac Coxford-Hawkins and Alice Lidgard received their Cobra Joining Certificates.

Other awards handed out were: Senior/juniors - William Jacobs (orange belt 7th Kyu), Emma Morley (blue belt 5th Kyu); Junior group - (Daniel Jackson, Tristan Wilkinson, Isaac Coxford-Hawkins (joining badge grade 7), Tristan Wilkinson (belt badge white grade 7), Hamish Lidgard (ju jitsu badge red grade 7), Rio-Scott Watson and Samuel Coxford- Hawkins (white belt 1 black tags), Faith Jupp and Conner Annbal (white belkt 1 red tags), Oliver Newman (white belt two red tags), Jade Leggett, Henry Howis and Ashden King (junior red belt 9th Kyu), Meda Bublyte, Aurelija Bociulyte and Connor Palmer (red belt two yellow tags), Mason Scarlett (yellow belt two orange tags), Elliot Coldwell (junior orange belt, 7th Kyu), Leah Revill, Sarah Bradbrook, Ashton Revill and Jacob Coxford-Hawkins (orange belt, 1 green tag).

The Mayor of Skegness, Coun Carl Macey and his wife, Fay Macey, presented the awards to the students.

The parents were entertained by the juniors fighting in stages with elements of ju-jitsu, karate and judo, as well as defence work on pads, kicking and punching.

The seniors asked the Mayor to be involved in their break fall demonstration by laying on the floor as they leaped over him. The parents then were asked to pick random moves and call them out, and the students demonstrated them showing defence moves and disabling finishing locks.
