BADAC youngsters set for county roles

Five Boston and District Athletic Club representatives have been selected to compete in the Lincolnshire team for Sunday's East Midlands Regional Championships at Grantham.

Malena Baxter,Matthew Lewis, Haddley Bedford, Ryan Firth and Lucy Raywood will all be on county duty this weekend at the Meres Leisure Centre.

Malena is included in the 12-strong under 11 girls’ team with Matthew, Haddley and Ryan members of the county under 11s boys’ team.

At under 13 level, Lucy has been chosen for the Lincolnshire girls’ team, who will be up against competitors representing Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire Leicestershire and Rutland and Northants.

The Lincs Sportshall Championships in November had insufficient entries for the county to select full teams in the under 13 boys and both the under 15 boys’ and girls’ regional championships.
