Boston A tennis youngsters claim the county red title

The Boston and District Winter League, the Lincolnshire Slazenger Seniors Winter League and the Lincolnshire Winter Indoor Mini Leagues are now all reaching their conclusions.

There have been two recent matches for Boston A team in the Boston and District Winter League.

The team of Harry Foster, Robbie Townsend, George Wookey and Robert Hayes drew 2-2 with Woodhall Spa and narrowly took a winning draw on countback on games (43-47).

However, they lost 4-0 to Boston B n a match that was much closer than reflected by the scoreline.

Harry Foster, Robbie Townsend, Matthew Cheer and Joe Parla represented the A, with the B team including Geoff Short, Henry Cheer, Jeremy George-Jones and Andy Clamp.

The Lincolnshire Indoor Mini League play-offs were held for the red section.

Boston A were the overall winners after beating Tealby in the semis and Grantham in the final.

The team was Poppy Gibbons, Ben Rudkin, Matilda Clark and Billy Smith.

In the fifth-eight place play-offs, Boston B were beaten by St James in a shoot-out and finally played Boston C, who lost to Nettleham.

Declan Dodes, Neve Gibbons, Tomas Goreliks and Antoni Chmielik, Esmae Paddington-Wheatcroft, Ben Simpson, Alice Servonat, Jake Cowdell and Alfie Simpson reepresented the B and C teams.
