Bowls team records best result in history

A TEAM from Sleaford Indoor Bowls Club recorded the best result in the club's history with a national last four spot.

The 16-man team were knocked out in the semi-finals of the Denny Plate at the EIBA National Interclub Championships in Lincoln on Saturday.

The team had seemed on the verge of victory against Chelmsford club Falcon when they led on three of the four rinks with just two ends to go. But the rinks were shared two each and Sleaford lost on aggregate by 13 shots.
