Angelica Finch claims third national boxing title

The Boston Town ABC fighter met Repton ABC’s Maisey Rose Courtney in Manchester this weekend in the final of the NABGC Championships.

Round one saw Finch land a powerful backhand straight away, going on the front foot and stalking her opponent with style.

Courtney was frustrated by Finch in the second, the Boston fighter making her miss her shots and taking away her game plan.

Finch mixed it up in round three, skilfully boxing and pressure fighting her opponent .

She dominated the third round by throwing powerful punches until the final bell went.

Four of the five judges favoured the Boston Town fighter.

This year, Finch’s first as a senior, has seen her win two Box Cups, The Elite East Midlands Belt and now her first senior national title.
