* The weekend also saw the second in the Midlands Sprint Series at Holme Pierrepont, near Nottingham.

A 10-strong group from the Sleaford club swam 750m in open water, biked 20km and then ran 5km and they produced some fabulous results with Debbie Black achieving second place in her age group.

* As part of the weekend of events, 4 club members competed in the longer distance Outlaw Half Ironman event (1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike and 13.1-mile run).

Shaun Balfe, of junior squad sponsors T Balfe Construction, competed at the distance for the first time, as did Stuart Gutteridge who now has his sights on a full ironman next year.
