Chris and Kellie hold on to the top spot

In the nine hole better ball mixed stableford, three couples came in with good scores.

Both pairings of Chris Miller and Kellie Hadland and Paddy Kearns with Sophie Hawkesworth came in with 24 points.

Mark and Merna Atkins scored 23 points.

This means it is still tight at the top, but Chris and Kellie opened up a three point lead with only the March round to play.

The February round of the nine hole medal Men’s Winter Series was played on Sunday in blustery conditions which had an effect on the scoring.

The best score of the day was the pairing of Derek Smith and Jim Welch with a 29.

Three other pairs came in with rounds of 30.

With one round left to play it is still very tight at the top.

Dave Mason and Darren Barnett are currently holding a slender lead.
