Conditions suit fishing
Last Sunday’s open was held on the Laneside Lake at Fourways and with a noon start the anglers had the best of the weather.
The fish were feeding well and some nice carp were caught out on feeder. Tench, roach, bream, ide, rudd, crucian and a perch (2-12) were also much in evidence.
First was Joe Goulding with 33-11 on peg 1. Jamie East came second with 26-3 on peg 8 and with 19-00 off peg 27 Cantley’s Keith Marshall took third place.
Next open is on Sunday 25th March, draw 11am, fishing noon-6pm.
