Crews ready for the Boston Head Race

Boston Rowing Club will be hosting their annual Head Race this weekend.

The event caters for competitors over both 3km and 5km distances.

Competitors from the club and beyond will be converging on the Carlton Road boathouse for the popular race on Sunday.

Action will unfold on the famous Witham course from 10am.

Along with the internationally-acclaimed Boston Rowing Marathon and GB team trials, which sees the nation’s top Olympic rowing competitors in action on the course, the Head Race is one of the Boston club’s leading events in the annual calendar.

The club is also calling on the public to play their part as it appeals for volunteers to help run the event.
