Adams pens new Notts deal

Andre Adams has signed a one year extension to his existing contract, committing him to the club until the end of the 2014 season.

Adams has been a revelation since returning to Trent Bridge for a second spell in 2008 and played an instrumental role in Notts’ 2010 title winning campaign.

Director of cricket Mick Newell said: “Andre has been our best bowler for some time now and his performances this season more than merit an additional year on his deal.”

“We will preserve him for four-day matches because that’s where he’s at his best and having a bowler of his quality fresh for games in our priortity competition is a key part of how we play.”

Adams took 66 county championship wickets as Notts won the title in 2010 and 67 in 2011 to earn consecutive Player of the Year awards.
