Byrne shines with the ball as Louth beat Alkborough
Louth beat Alkborough by four wickets in their sixth Lincolnshire Premier League Championship North game of the season at London Road Pavilion on Saturday.
After losing the toss on a rainy morning, which delayed the start of the game, Louth were invited to bowl first.

The in-form Pat Byrne opened the bowling once again and looked threatening early, as did Harvey Lake from the other end.
Bryne made the first breakthrough, soon followed in the next over by Lake taking his first and Alkborough left at 17-2.
This set the tone and wickets fell regularly, Byrne (5-23) taking four more in the next six overs and Lake (2-17) one, leaving Louth in command with Alkborough 34-7 off 14 overs.
However, some diligent and gritty batting from Alkborough revived their innings well, Louth not taking another wicket for 20 overs until the introduction of young spinner Piran Grayson made the breakthrough.
His spell of 2-8 got Louth back on top and a run out helped bowl Alkborough out for 121.
Louth opened with Alfie West and Mike Brown once again, Brown (1) falling early but West going on to reach a tidy 30 before been dismissed and Louth 51-3.
Wickets then fell regularly for Louth and they found themselves 67-6 with work to do to reach 122 to win.
Collinson and Corden especially found some momentum and runs for Louth, taking them over the 100 mark with the target in sight.
Corden kept the momentum going, finishing unbeaten on 30, while Collinson (28 not out) hit the winning runs and the 56 partnership proved match-winning.
Player of the match was Pat Byrne for his exceptional spell of 5-23.
Louth welcome Scothern to London Road Pavilion this weekend, bar open from 2pm.
