Sleaford first XI, sponsored by Baker Plant Hire, are hoping to go one better than their runners-up position in 2015, and will be hoping for a positive outcome from their fixture at London Road.

Newly-elected captain Shaun Morris has the services of South African all-rounder Obus Pienaar at his disposal and there are high hopes within the Sleaford camp that the talented first class player will make a significant impact with both bat and ball.

With the majority of last year’s team available once again, there is no reason why Sleaford should not be challenging at the top end of the table.

Having finished as runners-up in last year’s South Lincs and Border League Premier Division, Sleaford will be looking for another strong campaign in this competition. Sponsored by Darren Wilson, the team will be hoping to gain some early momentum in their fixture at Long Sutton, and will be led, once again, by Ben Bulmer.

Sleaford’s Sunday first XI, sponsored by Specsavers, entertain Revesby in a friendly on Sunday, whilst the Academy XI, sponsored by Turnbulls, are without a fixture this weekend.

Play starts at midday on Saturday, and at 2pm on Sunday, and spectators are welcome on both days.
