Horncastle CC all set for the new Lincolnshire Premier League season
Horncastle CC are ready and raring to go for the new Lincolnshire Premier Cricket League season, which sees them play their opening game on Saturday at home to Hibaldstow.
Their Coronation Walk home ground is looking fabulous after volunteers spent hours preparing it for the new season.

Having survived relegation last season, Horncastle's first XI take on the challenge of Division Two North with a new leader at the helm.
Gun batter Fraser Pemberton skippers the team and is very excited to do so, and is hoping the side can build on the successes of recent years and aim for a top half finish.
The Saturday second XI are again led by Tom Kisby and will be looking to really bring on the younger members of the club in Division Three Central.
Since the second were formed it has been made up of a mixture of youth and experience and this will be the philosophy again this year.
They opened their season last weekend but were beaten by 171 runs by visiting Alford & District, Korby Hugill hitting a crucial century and bowling figures of 3-4 for Alford.
Having been promoted as Champions from Division Three last season, the Sunday XI, again led by Micheal Ackerman, will be looking to hit the ground running and continue the success of last summer.
There are some great teams in Division Two so it will be tough, but back to back promotions is definitely the aim.
Horncastle's junior set up goes from strength to strength with the club running an All Stars programme, U10s, U12s, U14s and U16s this year.
They have an exceptional group of young cricketers at the club and the future looks very bright indeed.
Horncastle welcomed new club sponsors Vale Livestock Co Ltd to Coronation Walk last weekend as they unveiled their brand new T20 training shirts at the club's season opening Family Fun Day.
The action on the pitch started off with the Has Beens taking on the Right Nows, with the Right Nows taking victory by 25 runs.
With Has Beens needing a good rest, the second game started with the Right Nows batting first against the Not Yets, and they put up a strong 138 from their 16 overs.
Unfortunately just a few overs into the Not Yets’ reply, the heavens opened and that was cricket done for the day.
Despite the weather, the club were delighted to see so many people there supporting the club, helping raise vital funds for the junior section.
Horncastle are always on the lookout for new members so if anyone is interested - please email [email protected].
