It's a Knight to remember for the Woodhall Spa CC

Refurbishment work has seen the original pavilion brought into the modern era, with the main room, bar and kitchen reconfigured and disabled facilities added for community use. In addition, the dressing rooms have also been given a makeover, with brand new shower and toilet facilities fitted so they are now also fit for both disability and women’s cricket.

The project was supported by a range of organisations and individuals including a £45,000 WREN grant for the main refurbishment, a £3,000 community grant from East Lindsey District Council towards the car park extension and £1,000 from Woodhall Spa Parish Council and a Woodland Grant from Lincolnshire Couty Council.

The new look pavilion will also be kitted out with the latest community defibrillator, proposed hearing loopand first aid kits that, along with training, have been funded by a £5,000 Citizen Retail Grant from Nationwide Building Society in Skegness.

A club statement read: “Thanks must also go to Richard South, Dave Hoyes and John Willerton for help with car parking and drainage and also huge thanks to architect Robert Lowe and builder Pete Jackson. The Club and its members also played its part in the funding with a range of fundraising activities including quizzes, race nights and auction dinners.”
