Rasen’s good run hit the buffers as they subsided to a four-wicket defeat at home to league leaders Scothern.

The visitors won the toss and put the hosts in to bat. The decision proved a wise one as Ian McGowan (4 for 17) and Johnny Drabble (3 for 31) helped skittle Rasen for just 90 inside 37 overs.

Opener Will Bradford made almost half the total with 44 as the last eight wickets went down for 29 runs.

Tom Borysczuk (3 for 55) and Gary Bierlein (2 for 18) gave Scothern a few scares before they eased home in the 30th over.

Things seemed to be going to plan for Caistor as they bowled out visitors Scunthorpe Town for just 111 at Brigg Road.

Kieran Brooker (25) and Rory Ronaldson (42) appeared to be guiding them to a comfortable win with a third-wicket stand of 64, but the stunned hosts collapsed from 72-2 to 101 all out, Ramesh Chand doing the damage with 5 for 24.
