Louth CC awards night celebrates landmark 2015 season

The First XI achieved their highest-ever points total in the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League, while the seconds achieved their highest-ever position in Lincs County League Division One.

The 2015 season also saw the club enter a Third XI into the Lincs League which proved a great success and allowed several younger members to flourish in senior cricket.

On Sundays, the Taverners won their East Lindsey League T20 Cup and were also league runners-up.

The ladies once again proved challenging opposition, narrowly missing out on the league title, and the Midweek XI gained their third successive promotion in the Grimsby Cricket League.

At the presentation evening, several individuals were rewarded for their efforts.

The hotly-contested Duck Award went to Jack Leeming who, in the process of achieving seven ducks, set a new club record.

The Young Player of the Year award went to First XI all-rounder Nick Keast who showed some great maturity with the bat to contribute 211 vital runs and claimed 29 wickets with his off spin.

Phil Burrell was named Clubman of the Year for his efforts within the club as a captain, player, coach and committee member.

* Senior indoor training ahead of the 2016 season starts on Wednesday, January 27 at the Meridian Leisure Centre from 8.15pm to 9.45pm. Each session costs £3, and the club welcomes any new players.
