Notts coach is Pick of the bunch for Umpires

The Bassetlaw Umpires Association hold their first monthly meeting of the winter at Cuckney Cricket Centre on 1st November.

The guest speaker will be former Notts pace bowler and current county bowling coach Andy Pick.

Since retirement as a player, Andy has been in charge of the England Under 19s setup and also the Canadian national team.

He played 195 first class matches for Notts, and also 204 in the one day variety.

He took 495 first-class wickets at 33.24 and was also a useful lower order batsman with 2259 runs at 14.96.

In the one day format he took a further 242 wickets at 31.92 and added 631 runs at 17.05.

Pick is a well known figure in Bassetlaw League circles having represented Notts Colts, Clipstone and Glapwell in the league.

The meeting starts at 2.30 pm and everyone is welcome to attend.

Bassetlaw and District Umpires Association provide Cricket Umpires to the Bassetlaw and District Cricket League and other cricket leagues within Notts, Derbyshire, South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
