Batting first, they scored 152 for 9 and then bowled the hosts out for 98 to keep in second place in the table.

Elsewhere in this division, Marshalls gave leaders Woodsetts a run for their money at Middlefield Lane.

They scored 186 for 5 with Mark Whitlam hitting a half century and then Woodsetts hit the winning run off the final ball of their innings with just two wickets to spare.

At home to Worksop II, North Wheatley with Leverton II managed to hang on for a losing draw, finishing on 142 for 9 in reply to the visitors’ 178 for 7.

Everton II entertained Anston III and lost by five wickets.

The hosts struggled to 128 for 9 with only Richard Lee offering any real resistance with 46, and Anston passed that total with five wickets to spare.

In the Championship North Wheatley with Leverton lost by 49 runs away to Notts and Arnold Amateur with the hosts scoring 221 for 6 and then bowling Wheatley out for 172 with Richard Robinson hitting 65.

In Division One Wiseton lost at Killamarsh despite a great effort from James Moss with the bat.

He scored 91 in his side’s total of 147, but the hosts cruised to a seven-wicket victory.

Everton had to settle for 11 points in a rain-affected draw away to Whitwell.

They posted a total of 206 with Henry Eldred scoring 36 and Dan Brighton 33, and the hosts were on 168 for 3 (Richard Chambers 3 for 36) when the rain came down.

Misterton went down to a seven-wicket defeat when they entertained Whitwell II at Marsh Lane.

They were all out for 149 with Ian Coy hitting 36 and Darren Emmingham 33 but the visitors eased past that total for a comfortable victory.

In Division Six Wiseton II were bowled out for an embarrassing 34 at home to Rockware who then strolled past that total for the loss of just two wickets.
