Vithana stars as Woodhall Spa CC edge closer to third spot

And a third place would ensure a match against Grantham Town rather than all-conquering Bracebridge Heath in the semis.

Support from Oliver Caswell (60), Henry Wilson (58), Thomas Dixon (27), Prasanna Jayawardene (20) and Joe Irving (13 not out) helped the Spa men to 285-5 off their 50 overs.
In response, the hosts were dismissed for 200.
Vithana conceded 31 runs as he took his four victims, with other wickets claimed by Jayawardene (3-63), Irving, Wilson and Tom Caswell.
On Saturday the Firsts host Lindum (noon).
Woodhall Seconds claimed 20 South Lincs and Border League Premier Division points on Saturday as guests Welby Cavaliers conceded.

It was the same fate for the Sunday Firsts this weekend as Ancaster conceded their fixture.
They travel to Sleaford Sunday Firsts this week (1.30pm).
However, the Sunday Seconds won by 29 runs at Hartsholme, also claiming 20 points.
Adam Barker (84 not out), Henry Wilson (43), Alex Hodson (28), Matthew Haslam (27 not out) and sam Cooke (18) helped Woodhall to 238-4.
Hartsholme responded with 209-3.
John Temperton (2-36) and George Cobb claimed wickets.
This weekend they host Heckington (1.30pm).
