Wodhall Spa and Horncastle taste defeat

Woodhall Spa men were beaten by 112 runs as they entertained Lindum in the Lincs ECB Premier on Saturday.

Lindum reached 172 for 9, Tom White taking four wickets and Alex King three.

With the bat, Nick Bennett scored 20 as the hosts were out for 55.

In the South Lincs and Border League Premier Division, Sleaford Seconds secured a three-wicket victory over Woodhall Spa Seconds at London Road - Kieran Harbron hitting 77 runs.

Tom Cushen (28), Kieran Richardson (25), Miles Galbraith (22) and Peter Jackson (20) aided the visitors as they reached 132 before being dismissed.

Simon Godby took four wickets for the loss of 20 runs.

Sleaford reached 134 for 7 in the 31st over, Connor Harbron (10) the only teammate to reach double figures.

Sam Cherry took four Sleaford Wickets.

Woodhall's Sunday Firsts were beaten by five wickets as they hosted Ancaster in the Lincoln and District League Premier.

Gareth Grant (69) and Alfie Lindsey (34) helped the hosts to 153, Ancaster making 154 for 5, Dewi Bourke taking three wickets.

Horncastle lost by 10 wickets as they hosted Netleham Seconds in the Lincoln and District League Third Division.

David Grest (22) top scored as Horncastle were out for 72.

On Saturday Nettleham left Horncastle with a 96-run victory in the Lincoln and District League Division One.

Thomas Hackett took three wickets as Nettleham posted 167, Horncastle all out for 71 with Jonathan Clark top scoring.
