CYCLING: Velo-One pair contest Derbyshire road race
Velo-One Cycling Team riders Adam Ellis and Joshua Wallis travelled to Darley Moor Motorsport Circuit in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, last Sunday
The British Cycling Men’s Category 3 and 4 road race started fast with a select group of riders making an early breakaway from the peloton, including V1 riders Adam and Joshua.
Into the last half of the race, Joshua dropped out of the breakaway, re-grouping with the chasing peloton.

Hide AdThe bunch attempted over the course of the 30-mile race to catch the breakaway riders, but good group riding prevented the catch.
On the final lap, the breakaway group sprinted to the line with Adam finishing fourth. Joshua finished the race 18th, a great effort considering this was his first road race and he is certainly one to watch for the future.
