Brian Garrill was one of the founding members of the Woodhall Wheelers in 2014 and cycling the Lincolnshire roads was one of his great passions. In April last year, Brian was riding in the Lincoln Imp Audax event, but tragically never made it to the end of the ride and lost his life doing the thing he enjoyed most.

Woodhall Wheelers will be remembering Brian in a Memorial Ride to take place on April 10, starting from the Jubilee Park Cafe at 9am. The route will be 37 miles in length and the ride will stop to pay its respects at the place Brian passed away.

This ride is open to everyone, even if you are not a Woodhall Wheelers member.

To further remember Brian, Woodhall Wheelers will also be represented at this year’s edition of the Lincoln Imp Audax on April 23, when they hope to raise money towards the Lincolnshire Air Ambulance which was dispatched to the roadside to help Brian on that fateful day in last year’s event.

If you would like to ride the Audax and help raise money towards this great cause, you can sign up to the event at www.aukweb.net/events/detail/16-855/
