FA Cup replay for Boston Town after stalemate
Boston Town face an FA Cup replay after a forgettable goalless draw against Newark & Sherwood.
Chris Funnell’s side had the better of the few clear-cut chances that were created by either side.
Fraser Bayliss shot wide in the first half and the Highwaymen keeper Liam Flitton pulled off a superb save to deny Layton Maddison late on.
The Poachers also felt aggrieved not to have been awarded a penalty for a foul on Jordan Nuttell.
Both teams go into the hat for the 1st qualifying round draw on Monday (18 August). The replay takes place at the Mortgages For You Stadium on Tuesday (19 August), kick-off 7.45pm.
