Family members plan charity cycle ride

Three generations of Gainsborough cyclists are doing a 100-mile cycle ride from Gainsborough to Nottingham City Hospital and back, to raise cash for Nightingale Ward at the hospital.

Keith Norton (53), Matthew Hindmarsh and 13-year-old Liam Hindmarsh are making the journey because in March 2010 Keith’s daughter, Matthew’s wife and Liam’s mother, 29-year-old Carly Hindmarsh was diagnosed with a potentially fatal infection.

No doctor could find out what the problem was until the mother of five spent over a year under the care of Dr Venkatessent and his team at City Hospital, Nottingham.
