Final funding chance

Time is running out for sports clubs, leisure centres and sports organisations to apply for funding to deliver sports sessions across the county.

The first round of Sportivate funding for this year closes on Friday, and Lincolnshire Sport is looking for applications from groups wanting to target women and girls, aged 11-25 years.

Lucy Blakey, children and young people officer at Lincolnshire Sport, said: “Funding is available for sports projects in Lincolnshire to encourage women and girls to take part in more sport.

“It is a great opportunity to encourage young people to get involved but also provides a huge financial incentive for sports clubs, schools, leisure facilities and others, to deliver more activities across Lincolnshire.”
