And the team which stands in their way, with both home and aggregate advantage, tonight are Bristol, who beat Doncaster to first place in the RFU Championship by 16 points this season.

Full back Jarvis has recently been out of action due to a foot injury, but returned for the semi-final second leg defeat against Yorkshire Carnegie, although his side progressed on aggregate.

He then played the whole of the first leg against Bristol, which saw Doncaster let a 13-11 interval lead slip.

Speaking ahead of the final, Jarvis said: “They’ve got more experience of finals than we have, but given what has happened to them in those finals it’s not a good experience.

“They’ve definitely got more demons than we have.

“We know we’ll be going into the final as massive underdogs but all the pressure and expectation is on them.

“Although we want to win the final no matter what happens in the two games it’s been a great season for us.”

Reflecting on his recent injury he added: “It was nice to play well but it has taken a bit of time to get back into it because I’d not been able to do any running while I was injured.

“I was a bit worried when I first came back because when you’ve been out a long time often something else goes wrong but I’m feeling a lot better now with a few games under my belt.”

Tonight’s match at Ashton Gate kicks off at 7.45pm.
