Firsts eye Skeg win

Tom Baxter believes Saturday's home contest against Skegness is a chance for the Mayflower men to claw their way out of the Lincs ECB Premier's bottom two.

“It’s another massive game,” skipper Baxter commented.

“They sit one place above us and nine points clear of us, so a good result for us will see them overtaken.”

Boston will welcome back Jonny Cheer but Dave Newman and Michael Musson will both still be missing due to injury.

“I don’t know a great deal about Skegness’ side but we need to concentrate on ourselves,” Baxter added.

It wasn’t a great day for Boston on Saturday with both Louth and Grimsby picking up victories and Boston losing.

Nineteen points separate the bottom seven sides of the Premier League.

Baxter added: “It’s quite close down there and there are a few teams that will be looking over their shoulder.”
