All ticket affair

The Blues welcome Boro to Gainsborough for the second time this season after the Blues emerged as 3-2 victors back in March, but this time an even bigger prize of Conference Premier football awaits the winner.

And club Chairman Peter Swann, who missed the 1-0 semi-final second leg win at Halifax, has confirmed the season-defining game will be ticket only and these will be available to buy from the State Club in Church Street, Gainsborough.

He posted on the clubs online message forum: “The play-off final will be all ticket.”

“These will be on general sale from Thursday from the State Club box office which will open at 9am until 8am through Saturday and up until 2pm on Sunday.

“This will enable us to get fans into the ground easier and control the flow of supporters, no tickets will be on sale at the ground.”

“An allocation will be given to Nuneaton and if they sell enough to fill the away end then they will have all of that end. If they do not sell their allocation we will endeavour to alter the segregation.”

“Season ticket holders will have preference to purchase initially and we will endeavour to ensure that regular fans get tickets. “

I would expect 2,500 tickets to be available to home fans minimum and again want these to be [at] our normal entrance costs and not inflated.”

Swann appointed Steve Housham as Trinity boss after sacking former manager Brian Little three games into the season after the 4-0 defeat at Stalybridge Celtic in late August.
