Ambitious Terry Hawkridge wants a 'big season' with Boston United
Boston United’s ambition sold the club to Terry Hawkridge - and now the winger wants to help the Pilgrims win promotion.
The former Lincoln City and Solihull Moors man joined the club in the summer, opening his account with the club's first goal of the campaign as the Pilgrims beat AFC Mansfield in the FA Cup on October 3.

Hide AdUnited have played just one further match since then, the 4-0 National League North win at Leamington, before players were told to self isolate following positive COVID-19 tests at the club, which forced them to forfeit their place in the FA Cup.“I’m really looking forward to the rest of the season,” said Hawkridge.
“I’ve always been aware of Boston, I’ve got a few friends here and know they’re ambitious and want to get up. That’s one big thing I want to do.
“It’s going to be a big season for us. Hopefully we can kick on and do that.
“I spoke to the gaffer and the chairman and their ambitions, the new ground and wanting to go up - that’s one of my big things - made me want to join. I just can’t wait to be a part of it.”

Hide AdHawkridge has joined former Notts County teammates Matt Tootle and Ross Fitzsimons at the club this summer, and has been impressed with the rest of the squad.
He added: “It’s up there with one of the best squads. The lads that don’t play (in the starting XI each game) can all put a shift in.
“It’s going to be a big., long season and hopefully we can push on.”
United are expected to return to action on Saturday as they host AFC Telford United at the Northolme (KO 3pm).
