The Poachers beat Bangor City 1-0 in front of a crowd of 453 at Tattershall Road on November 6, 1976 - Phil Scothorne’s winning goal clinching victory in the FA Cup’s fourth qualifying round.

Town were eventually beaten 3-1 at Barnsley in the first round.

Later in the season, the club are planning a reunion event to mark the team’s achievement.

As well as inviting the surviving members of the team who were involved in the 1976 FA Cup run, Town would love to get in touch with other ex-players and officials from that era.
