Boss is keen for strong finish
Joint-boss Chris Rawlinson felt it was clear his Skegness Town side have little left to play for during their 2-1 loss at home to Ashby Ivanhoe on Saturday.
The Lilywhites sit 12th in the UCL Premier North with one game to play, safe from any relegation fears and well short of any play-off hopes.

And Rawlinson felt that was reflected in Saturday’s display.
He said: “Saturday was disappointing – we had a few away for various reasons and Ashby still had something to play for and we didn’t which was quite obvious on the day.
"Our home form had been reasonable and we wanted to finish strongly but although we were 1-0 up at half-time, their shape was causing us problems and we also had a replacement goalkeeper in goal who got injured early on so we were trying to manage that as well.
"So it was a difficult day on a bobbly pitch and with the wind too, but it can happen and we just have to dust ourselves off for the last game.”
Skegness now have to wait until April 28 to complete their campaign with a rearranged fixture at home to Kimberley Miners Welfare, with an top 11 spot now the best they can aim for.
Rawlinson added: “Ideally we should have finished on Saturday but we had the game with Kimberley rained off earlier in the season and apparently if you have a trip that’s further than 70 miles you don’t have to come in midweek, and because we have a tournament on the pitch on the 18th and it won’t be available, it had to be put back.
"It’s not ideal, it’s just one of those things and I understand what the league are saying so we’ll just get on with it and hopefully pick up another three points and end the season on a bright note.
"Then we can assess where we’ve ended up and what the season has been like. It’s very similar to last year in terms of points total and we’ll be a place or two lower, which perhaps shows we’ve been treading water for a couple of years but we’ll aim to finish strongly.”
