A Boston teenager has joined Premier League Aston Villa.
Highly-rated youngster Sam Proctor has moved to the Villans from Peterborough United's Academy.
It’s understood Posh have received the maximum permitted £100k for Proctor. This will rise to £150k if Proctor signs a professional deal at Villa Park.
Posh would have received a bigger fee if they had been confirmed as an Academy 2 centre, which is due to happen in 2021.
Proctor, who hails from Boston and has been catching the eye of Premier league clubs, has been at the Posh Academy since he was eight. He was originally an outfield player.
He was selected to attend an England Under 15 training camp at St George’s Park between December 19-21.
