Craig Elliott is bracing himself for a hectic March following this week's postponements.

The Boston United manager has seen two fixtures fail to go ahead this week due to waterlogged pitches, which means the Pilgrims could face seven fixtures next month.

Today's postponement at Brackley - which followed Tuesday's wash-out against Darlington - could well be pencilled into a month which already has United scheduled to play five league games and a Lincs Senior Cup final against Cleethorpes Town.

"It makes March a busy time for for us now with a lot of games," said Elliott, whose side are unbeaten in six contests.

"Things change quickly in football. We've got a good squad, but if you lose one or two you can start to look vulnerable.

"You need to be lucky with suspensions and injuries, so fingers crossed we get through that.

"We've been in good form and I'd rather have played the games.

"We've got good momentum and it could have been a good week for us in terms of putting pressure on the teams above us."

Travelling to Northamptonshire-based Brackley in midweek will be no easy task for United, with majority of their squad based in Yorkshire and the North West.

Elliott added: "It doesn't make it easy going there on a Tuesday night.

"They're already one of the better teams, and it's a long way for a lot of the lads to go."
