Boston United drop to fourth in the National League North, but remain eight points behind leaders York City

Boston United were without a game today, but there was still plenty of action in the National League North.

The Pilgrims' game at Chester was postponed by the hosts due to the Coronavirus outbreak, but some games in the division did go ahead.

United remain eight points behind leaders York City, but have two games in hand. York's contest against Altrincham was also postponed.

However, second-placed King's Lynn hosted Guiseley and were beaten 1-0 as their woeful recent run continues.

Boston remain six points behind the Linnets.

Brackley Town won 4-2 at Alfreton Town to leapfrog United and move into third, with Craig Elliott's side dropping to fourth.

Boston trail the Saints by two points but have played two games fewer.

Also in the promotion hunt, Spennymoor Town won 4-0 at home to Hereford to move into sixth place, Chester dropping to seventh.

RESULTS: AFC Telford United 3 Kettering Town 1, Alfreton Town 2 Brackley Town 4, Bradford Park Avenue 0 Curzon Ashton 2, Darlington 2 Farsley Celtic 4, King's Lynn 0 Guiseley 1, Spennymoor Town 4 Hereford 0.

POSTPONED: Chester v Boston United, Gloucester City v Blyth Spartans, Leamington v Kidderminster Harriers, Southport v Gateshead, York City v Altrincham.
