Boston United travel to Alfreton Town on Saturday looking to extend their unbeaten run - and more importantly pick up three points.

Following draws with Kettering Town and Bradford Park Avenue, Craig Elliott's side will head to the Impact Arena keen to repeat their 2-0 Boxing Day victory over the Reds in this rescheduled contest.

Billy Heath's side is packed with ex-Pilgrims including keeper George Willis, defenders James Jones and Toby Lees plus attackers Shaun Tuton and Nicky Walker.

United, meanwhile, have ex-Reds Luke Shiels, Andi Thanoj, Pierce Bird, Joe Leesley and Tom Platt in their ranks, although Platt will be sidelined due to injury.

"It's always a good game, I've always enjoyed playing against Alfreton," Thanoj said.

"Hopefully, we can go into Saturday and pick up a good win again."

While Boston are unbeaten in eight matches, Alfreton sit second bottom of the National League North, without a win in nine matches in all competitions and yet to play since December 28.

So far they have secured one win and four draws from seven home games.

United have drawn their past two matches at the Impact Arena 1-1. Elliott's first trip to Alfreton with Boston saw them win 3-2 in 2017.

The match will kick off at 3pm.
