Youngster Lewis Gibbens has also featured in League Two with Mansfield Town while Connor Dimaio knows what it takes to be successful at National League North level.
Now the Pilgrims want to bolster their squad further.
“You’ve got to get the balance right, we’ll get a few more younger lads in,” said manager Craig Elliott.
“Obviously we’ve got Gibbo in, but it’s always important to have an experienced spine, lads who know what it’s like to be involved in big games.
“We’ve got that at the minute.”
The Pilgrims reported back for pre-season training with a series of trialists hoping to catch Elliott’s eye.
At present, one of those is impressing the manager.

He added: “They’ve done alright. I think there’s probably only one now, if I’m being honest, that’s in my mind.
“We’ll keep having a look but, because of the quality we’ve got, it’s been difficult for the trialists to turn my head.
“But there’s one I’m happy with and we’ll have another look this week.”
