Craig Elliott says Boston United remain on track to reach his pre-season targets.

At the beginning of the campaign the Boston United boss worked out the number of wins, and points, he believed his Pilgrims squad would need to fulfil his ambition of promotion.

An while Elliott has kept those exact figures close to his chest, he is looking at his side sitting third in the National League North table confident they can meet his requirements.

However, he will refuse to take anything for granted.

"We know what we need to do and where we need to be at," Elliott said.

"We're still on course with our targets and if we hit those targets we'll see where we are.

"There's a lot of football to be played, a lot of good teams to play."

Next up for United are Curzon Ashton, who held the Pilgrims to a goalless draw at York Street in January.

The two sides will meet at the Tameside Stadium on Saturday (KO 3pm).

"They're a good team, played well at our place and deserved the draw," Elliott added.

"They haven't conceded many in the past weeks and it will be a challenge."
