Dominic Knowles wants to end his season with a goalscoring flourish for Boston United.

The Pilgrims striker has set himself a series of targets as he aims to add to his tally while his side push for promotion.

“The first target’s always 10, then you try to get 15, then 20,” explained Knowles, who reached double figures with the winner against Brackley Town on Tuesday evening.

“You try to get to 10 first and then aim for 15. Hopefully, I can get to the 20 mark.

“As a striker you have to aim for those markers and fingers crossed we have a good season.”

Knowles - who has scored 10 goals in 27 appearances this season - has 18 games left to bolster his tally.

But he is no stranger to a late flurry, scoring nine times in the final three games of the 2017-18 campaign to help Harrogate Town win promotion to the National League via the play-offs.

“I’m quite a confident person, but as a striker when you score you feel confident,” Knowles added.

“We’ve found a way of playing. We’ve got lads who, when they come on, understand exactly what they’re doing.

“Everyone’s buying into what we’re doing.”
