9. Dennis Greene (2013-2016)
Greene - whose was in charge of the Histon side thrashed 6-0 by Lee's Pilgrims at the start of the campaign - was offered the job after the departure of Drury. He had impressed at the interview stage. The ex-Wycombe Wanderers attacker led Boston to two play-off semi-finals during his three-years in charge, a penalty shootout defeat to Chorley and 3-2 aggregate reverse to North Ferriby. When Greene's team of entertainers, including Carl Piergianni, Scott Garner, Zak Mills, Kaine Felix and Dayle Southwell moved on his failed to replicate the previous success and left his role midway thtrough the 2016-17 season.

11. Adam Murray (2016-2017)
Former Mansfield Town manager Adam Murray was tasked with saving the Pilgrims' season. A start of four games without defeat concluded with a 1-1 draw at Gainsborough, which saw talismanic target man Gregg Smith's season ended with a broken ankle. United finished the season 15th. Murray - now in the dug-out at Championship side West Brom - is credited with a lot of impressive off-field improvements at the club as he sought a more professional approach. But even with signings such as Ashley Hemmings, Jordan Keane and Kabongo Tshimanga, he couldn't get the results or performances he wanted and quit following a 3-2 defeat to Brackley.

12. Karl Hawley (2017)
Once again the departing manager's assistant steadied the ship. Hawley's Pilgrims put in a spirited display before going down 1-0 to champions Salford City. A 2-0 win at Leamington followed before Stockport County robbed Hawley of a second victory with a stoppage-time leveller in a 2-2 draw.
