Craig Elliott wants to make it four-straight home victories over York City when the two sides meet at the Jakemans Stadium on Saturday.

The Pilgrims and Minstermen will go into the contest with identical records this season.

Both clubs have recorded six wins, four draws and two defeats from the National League North campaign so far, with sixth-place Boston one place above their rivals in the table due to their superior goal difference.

Saturday's match will be the first meeting between the two sides at the Jakemans Community Stadium, with City also set to move stadium in the coming weeks.

Elliott has won all three of his previous home matches against York in the Pilgrims dug-out.

“It’s not a bad record over York in the past few years, I suppose, and we all know they’ll be up there at the end of the season,” the United manager said.

“They’ve got a big squad and I’m sure, similar to ourselves, going into a new stadium, they’ve got big aspirations of making it a memorable season for them.”

Elliott recorded his first-ever win as Boston boss at the expense of the Minstermen back in December 2017 as Ashley Hemmings and Jordan Keane found the net in a 2-1 victory.

The following campaign saw Nicky Walker and Gavin Allott secure a 2-0 home win while last season the Pilgrims came from a goal down to win 3-1 in a bizarre contest which saw Frank Mulhern's looping effort and Andi Thanoj's attempted cross both find the net.

Brad Abbott was also on target.

The Minstermen have recorded narrow 1-0 and 2-1 victories at Bootham Crescent against United sides led by Elliott, although Jay Rollins and Max Wright did find the net as Boston came from 2-0 down to draw in York in the 2018-19 campaign.
