Can Boston United win the title? Greene won't rule it out

Dennis Greene hasn't ruled out Boston United storming to the National League North title following Saturday's dramatic 3-1 victory over Hednesford Town.

An action-packed afternoon saw the Pilgrims come from behind to claim the three points, stretching their winning run to seven matches in eight league games.

And the drama didn’t end there as Pitmen defender Jack Fitzwater and manager Frank Sinclair both received their marching orders in an open and exciting contest.

“We are on a fantastic run,” Green said. “We’ve only lost three in 17 (league) games and the points tally we’ve picked up in that time is huge.

“You can see that by the league table.”

But with leaders Solihull Moors losing 6-0 at Harrogate Town on Saturday, and United closing the gap to two points, despite Moors having two games in hand, Greene is not ruling anything out.

“Maybe if Solihull put in more performances like today we could go even further,” he added.
